Halfway Done!

Today was the perfect day (gee, have I said that before?). It started off cool, and at mile 5 we had one steep climb to the plateau of the Texas Hill Country. After that it was 30 miles of a series of rolling hills through pastures and farms (some working, some abandoned), and we passed cows, steer, goats, and llamas! The weather never got too hot and the group took it easy – we all stayed together for the most part. We rolled into Fredericksburg at about 1:30 for lunch and had a free afternoon (time for weekly laundry!). Tomorrow we have the day off.
